D66: "No more taboos, end unsafe abortions in EU" The European Parliament Working Group on Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Development (EPWG) discussed unsafe abortions in the EU. Chairwoman Sophie in 't Veld, MEP (D66/ALDE) said: "It is a disgrace that women in Europe, EU citizens, still have to resort to unsafe abortions, even in countries where it is legal. The EU strives to ensure high levels of public health services across Europe. Sexual and reproductive health must be an integral part of public health policies."…
